This recent, 4 Access Point, WiFi installation was for a large property close to The park in Cheltenham. The property had been redecorated and it was too late to run cabling internally around the house and so we were asked to find a way to cover the entire property without showing or running cables around the house.
We spent roughly an hour surveying the property and learning the layout of the rooms. Once we'd understood the layout, we determined we could cover almost all this Cheltenham property by placing 3 WiFi Access Points (APs) within the attic. Luckily, the attic covered the whole house and we were able to cable inside the attic.
The issue we faced was getting the Internet Signal from the Virgin router (which was located in the downstairs living room) into the attic. We needed to get the Internet into the attic and into a PoE switch which would then feed power and the Internet signal to each of the APs.
The size of the property meant we could not use ladders. Not only was it too high but it was shaped in such a way so as not to allow for ladders
